Piedmont Triad Regional Council, NC
Home MenuLogo Usage Best Practices
Below you will find some guidelines to help you use our logo in ways that increase our impact and visibility. We have optimized our logos for crisp and clear viewing.
However, if you need to reduce the size of the logo where the text is illegible, it is recommended to use the logo icon without the text. The best practice is to use the full logo on communication materials at least once and then use the icon for additional branding opportunities.
Clear Space
Clear space cushions the logo from images, text, or other graphics that reduce the impact and visibility of our logo. The more breathing room you give our logo, the more significant the effect it can have.
Clear space around the logo or logo icon should be about the height of the two lines of text, "Piedmont Triad Regional Council".
Mono Chrome &White Logos
Our full-color logos are best displayed on white, black, and the PTRC secondary color pallet. Avoid using full-color logos on photographs unless the logo sits on a solid image area and is legible.

Are you highlighting a program or initiative?
Our department's programs and initiatives should lean on their department branding and the overall PTRC branding and typically do not require creating an additional department logo. To highlight an initiative, use these brand guidelines to create an effective communication tool. If you think your program needs a new logo, it will require approval. See the example below.
Try adding icons to your document to help illustrate your message.

Images to Enhance the Brand |
|
PTRC's mission is to improve the lives of our community, so it only makes sense to use photography that highlights people! The images we use should help tell the story of how our services will help improve lives. Smiling, collaborating, friendly, and inviting images can help break up large text areas and draw people into your communication pieces. The images below are great examples of images that do just that. When selecting photos for your projects remember you can use the PTRC image library drive or our stock photography subscription. When you find a great photo from the Triad make sure to save it to the PTRC image library. If you need more information about our stock photo subscription contact Victoria Randria. |
