In 2022, PTRC launched a new website, NCTriadOutdoors, highlighting hundreds of recreation opportunities in our region including parks, trails, kayaking, sports, and activities. The website was created to:

1. Promote the usage of outdoor recreational activities to the general public both within and outside our region;
2. Expand and grow the network of outdoor recreation businesses in the region; and
3. Drive tourism to our region.

Outdoor Recreation Advisory Council

NCTriadOutdoors is a product of the Piedmont Triad Strategic Outdoor Recreation Plan (2022). The Piedmont Triad Outdoor Recreation Advisory Council (OARC) developed this plan to support and promote growth in the outdoor recreation industry.  The ORAC is a collaboration of public and private partners for initiating, resourcing and sustaining exceptional outdoor experiences to further economic development, education, health and wellness in the Piedmont Triad Region.
