Dan River Clean up!

Another day, another cleanup! Join DRBA as we clean up the Dan River for the summer season!
We will be offering a few options for the cleanup this year:
River Cleanup: you will join forces with other paddlers and find trash on the sides of the banks, floating in the river, and other interesting places you might find along the way! This will be BYOB (bring your own boat). PFDs (lifejackets) are required for everyone on the water.
Land Cleanup: Clubs, scouts, and others without boats are invited to clean up along the streams, river accesses, and other areas that flow into the Dan River.
We will meet at 9 am at Madison River Park for a debrief, introduction, and to give out supplies. Volunteers doing land-based cleanups will be grouped and directed to a few locations. Those paddling will set shuttle for the group and then head on down the river!
Please sign up for either a “land-based” or “paddle” cleanup so that we can act accordingly!

NOTE: All volunteers will be required to sign a waiver. Dress appropriately for the weather and be prepared to get dirty. Bring gloves, wear sturdy clothing and shoes (no open-toed shoes).
