The City's Office of Sustainability and Resilience and Water Resources Department are offering this hands-on environmental science program to introduce rising middle school girls to a possible career in science and research in a practical, hands-on way. The program will be lead by Water Resources Public Education Coordinator Laine Roberts and other Water Resources staff.

“By the end of each program, the girls will better understand their own power to advocate for the environment and their parks,” Roberts said. “We hope to spark the girls’ interest in field exploration, technology, and project-based science and teach them about careers in the sciences.”

In the event of rain, we may delay the starting time, however the ending time will not change.

This is the third of a three-part program. Registration is required and deadline to register is noon Wednesday, June 26.

For more information about this free, drop-off program, email Laine Roberts or call 336-373-4601.
