Join Matthew Scoggins, Community Gardening Coordinator for a hands on community gardening demonstration, we'll discuss square foot gardening, site preparation, marketing, volunteer organizing, pollinators and much more! We'll also have an experienced community organizer discussing the school's community garden program. This is a chance for volunteers to get some hands on Fall Veggies and Native Plants experience. We'll prepare beds, plant, amending soil in beds etc. We will also be giving away some native wildflower seeds! Water and light refreshments will be provided.

PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR, wear gardening clothes, and bring hand tools if possible!

Note: This event coincides with a workday for the site, please feel welcome to stay longer and help out with the site. A great way to give back to a school and community. (Any activity on the site is at your own risk)

If you have any questions please contact Matthew Scoggins at mscoggi@ncsu.edu or 336-705-8823
