Description:
What is lurking around after dusk? While walking through the darkening woods we will be flipping logs and rocks in search of an important indicator species: salamanders. We will practice identifying them and learn how to practice safe handling of these delicate amphibians.
Participants will meet in the Piedmont Environmental Center parking lot at 5 p.m. and carpool over to the North Preserve to begin our adventure.
Bring a flashlight if you have one. Children must be accompanied by an adult and are asked to bring a flashlight.
