Many of the farm ponds in Rockingham County have reached their intended life span. Ponds are an important recreation and water resource, but they can also become hazards for our rivers as they begin to deteriorate. This workshop will identify the issues around failing pond dams and provide important solutions for the future of the ponds. This event will encourage discussion between landowners and local professionals working to keep our water clean. Come lend your voice and join the discussion. This event is a partnership between the Piedmont Triad Regional Council, the Rockingham County Soil and Water Conservation District and the Dan River Basin Association. The event is free but registration is greatly appreciated.
