Good Afternoon 

Since our viewing of Mothers of Bedford, we are excited to announce we have been awarded a small  grant by the Women’s Fund to develop the program that we have dreamed about, assisting incarcerated mother, her children and the caregiver of the children.    

This grant will include research, facilitation of focus groups and to inventory resources.   The Women’s Fund is specific to Forsyth County, so for now, the pilot will begin in Forsyth County.  We all have shared our vision of a state-wide initiative to assist the incarcerated mothers and the fathers, and we believe this could be the foundation to build such an endeavor. 

We would like to invite each one of you to join us for to brain storm ideas and suggestions that you may wish to share.
