The Piedmont Triad Regional Council in partnership with APA-NC Section 3, the North Carolina Crime Prevention Association and the National Institute of Crime Prevention are hosting a training in November in Kernersville. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in a nationally recognized training program designed for planners, law enforcement, architects, city officials and other professionals interested in learning:
How the design and use of the environment can control human / criminal behavior and reduce the fear of crime;
How natural access control and natural surveillance decreases the opportunity for crime;
How different aspects of lighting impacts human behavior and other design strategies.
We are working with NICP to offer both a 3- and 5-day version of the training. More details and registration information can be found on our website at www.ptrc.org/cpted. This course is limited to 50 participants. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Both courses eligible for 24 AICP CM Credits (Event #9127639)
