Dr. Betsey Tilson, State Health Director and Chief Medical Officer for the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NC DHHS) will discuss Social Determinants of Health Regional Pilots to be implemented under North Carolina’s transition to Medicaid Managed Care.NC DHHS intends to conduct pilot studies in 2-3 regions around the state employing evidence-based interventions that address housing, transportation, food, interpersonal violence and employment needs of individuals.
