HOW CAN I VOLUNTEER?
- Sign up as a volunteer. VolunteerNC is looking for volunteers to help serve our state with disaster services.
- Go to NC Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster to find a list of experienced volunteer organizations active in disaster in NC. In western NC, those organizations include Baptists on Mission and the the Red Cross, but more organizations within Western NC are expected to be added as response and recovery unfolds. These organizations need volunteers to assist in shelters, distribution of goods and supplies, as well as repair and rebuilding opportunities, so click on either site to volunteer.
- If you are with a local government organization outside of the affected areas, please check with your county emergency management division to determine the best and most efficient way to help.
