Preparing for closeout of LFRF - a Closeout Binder and ARPA Checklist

With two cycles of Project and Expenditure Reports already submitted to U.S. Treasury, many local governments are ready to begin project closeout processes for their Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (LFRF).

To help organize the proper documentation and procedures, download the Closeout Binder and ARPA Checklist put together by our colleagues at the High County Council of Governments.

Disclaimer: several factors determine whether these funds are ready for closeout and each local government is encouraged to consult its own financial and legal staff. These resources, however, can be an excellent way to organize what is needed for federal compliance and future audits.

The many local governments that elected the standard allowance for revenue loss, and whose total allotment of LFRF was below $10 million, are likely ready to begin these processes.
