The Piedmont Triad Regional Council hosted the Decoding Brownfields Workshop on November 30th, 2023. Over 50 attendees gathered to:

• Learn how to obtain federal and state resources, funding, and technical assistance;
• Hear from experts in the field on how to overcome the challenges associated with redeveloping brownfield sites; and to
• Learn about properties that have been successfully redeveloped and how those visions became reality.

The event was sponsored by the Piedmont Triad Regional Council and the New Jersey Institute of Technology Brownfields Assistance Program with speakers from:

• North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ)
• Siler City (Chatham County)
• City of Lexington (Davidson County)
• Town of Mayodan (Rockingham County)
• City of Greensboro (Guilford County)
• Expert panel of attorneys, engineering consultants, and real estate professionals to address key redevelopment challenges.
