The Piedmont Triad Regional Council (PTRC) and the Piedmont Triad Regional Food Council (PTRFC) are invested in developing a resilient and sustainable regional food system with an equity-centered approach to boost economic and community health through local foods across all 12 counties.

To help build an understanding of equity in the food system and develop shared language, we've put together a list of definitions used in the regional food assessment. Those can be found here: PTRFC Definitions_5.13.2020

Beginning in 2021, all regional food council members are required to participate in at least one racial equity training during the first year of membership. Below is a list of resources that have been useful to our understanding. This is a living page that we will be adding to and editing as we continue to learn and grow.
