Thank you for your interest in working with the Piedmont Triad Regional Food Council! We accept applications on a rolling basis and onboard new members in January of each year.

The Council aims to fill 18-25 seats of food systems partners and community members on the Piedmont Triad Regional Council that represent:

  • Expertise and skills valuable to food systems work
  • Passion and commitment to the vision
  • The 12 counties within the Piedmont Triad region
  • A balance of perspectives and demographics

Please review the Council Member Expectations below before submitting your application.
Council Member Expectations:

  • Support the Council’s vision, mission, and priorities.
  • Guide the scope, strategy, coordination, and evaluation of the Piedmont Triad Regional Food Council.
  • Serve actively on the Council and at least one subcommittee for a 2-year term.
  • Attend activities and events sponsored by the Council.
  • Represent your county and champion the Council.

Attendance and Participation:

  • Prepare for and participate in monthly Council meetings.
  • Participate in at least 1 subcommittee.
  • Participate in a racial equity training during your first year of membership.
  • Suggest agenda items for the Council and subcommittee meetings.
  • Share information with the Council on related policy, economic, and collaboration opportunities.
