We provide education for the public in a friendly way without disclosing that something was reported here. We use this form to identify good areas for community cleanups and citizen science programs like NC Stream Watch . We award prizes for stewardship and we mail brochures that focus on positive solutions. If you describe/suspect intentional illegal activity, we hope you provide information that will help us locate the problem (such as an address, name of park, GPS coordinates, etc.) so that we can contact your local stormwater department to check it right away. If you see pollution that could lead to an emergency, such as gasoline leaking on the ground, call 9-1-1 and do not attempt to contain the problem.
