The Stevens Amendment

In compliance with The Stevens Amendment, the Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board provides transparency and accountability in federal spending of federal grant funds awarded to the workforce development system. Funding details are provided below and revised annually.

 

WIOA Programs

WIOA Adult Program
The Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Adult Program is federally supported 100% by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $1,772,465.

WIOA Dislocated Worker Program
The Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Dislocated Worker Program is federally supported 100% by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $1,059,673.

WIOA Youth Program
The Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Youth Program is federally supported 100% by the U.S. Department of Labor as part of an award totaling $1,739,305.

 

Strategic Initiatives

Eastern Triad Workforce Initiative
The Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board’s ETWI projects are supported 100% by funds allocated by the NC General Fund and awarded to the Eastern Triad Workforce Initiative collaborative of Alamance, Guilford, Randolph, and Rockingham counties. Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board is a subrecipient of these funds in partnership with Alamance and Randolph counties. Program award: $100,000 and $214,040

NCWorks Small Business Work-Based Learning Program 
The Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board’s NCWorks Small Business Work-Based Learning program is supported 100% by federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds awarded to the NC Department of Commerce by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. PTRWDB applied for these funds through a competitive grant process via NC Commerce. Program award: $1,000,000

Supporting Partnerships in Recovery Program
The Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board’s Supporting Partnerships in Recovery Program is supported 100% by Appalachian Regional Commission funds awarded to Surry County in partnership with the Piedmont Triad Regional Workforce Development Board. Program award: $497,940
